Why Belle?

From a young age, I’ve always enjoyed reading and had a shelf full of books, mainly made up of The Baby-Sitters Club, Sweet Valley High, and Fear Street.

I remember my dad taking me to the library and the flea market so that I could pick out new books. Looking back, I didn’t realize how much effort my parents put into nurturing my love of reading, always making sure I had a new book in my hands and a growing collection to call my own.

So it only made sense to choose ‘Belle’ as my pseudonym, inspired by the Disney princess who loved books.

Why Remix?

I’ve done a lot of growth and healing over the past four years. But one thing that never changed was my passion for helping others. As a child, I used to write fiction for fun. Now, as an adult, I get to share my life stories in hopes that they resonate with another human being in need.

To protect the privacy of others, some names and personal details mentioned throughout this blog have been changed.
